10th National Children's Football Tournament Opens

Pyongyang, May 9 (KCNA) -- The 10th National Children's Football Tournament opened on the occasion of the 79th founding anniversary of the Korean Children's Union.
An opening ceremony was held at the Sariwon Youth Stadium on May 8.
Present there were Pak Chang Ho, chief secretary of the North Hwanghae Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials of the youth league and schoolchildren.
Mun Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, made an opening address.
The speaker called upon all the participants to fully display their high sports skills, team spirit and proud appearance and thus achieve good successes in the tournament.
The players marched in file and there was a match between the men's football teams of North Hwanghae Province and North Phyongan Province. -0-
