The Arab Summit Media Committee To NINA: A Comprehensive Plan To Receive Press Delegations And Prepare The Necessary Requirements For Journalistic Work

Baghdad / NINA /-The Media Committee for the Arab Summit announced a comprehensive plan to receive press delegations to cover the 34th summit meetings in the capital, Baghdad, next Saturday.
Member of the Media Committee, Haider Majeed, stated in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) on Wednesday that “Iraq continues to receive and host kings, presidents, ministers, and diplomatic and press delegations, which have witnessed a strong turnout to cover the work and meetings of the Arab Summit in Baghdad.”
He added: "The Media Committee has prepared a comprehensive plan to receive press delegations from outside Iraq, through high-level coordination with the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Interior and Iraqi missions abroad. We have launched an electronic platform for registration and issuing "quick and free" entry visas, in accordance with the Prime Minister's directives, and electronically documenting journalists' information to be sent to the team responsible for issuing identification badges designated for covering the Arab Summit meetings."
Haider Majeed indicated that "approximately 200-250 Arab and foreign journalists had entered Iraq by Tuesday, and that press delegations will continue to arrive in Iraq until Saturday morning, when the last officially registered journalist has entered and has been approved to cover the Arab Summit meetings."
He also said, "The names of all local media journalists have been registered, and their badges have been distributed in two batches.” He indicated that “a delegation from the Arab Broadcasting Union, comprising 15 journalists, will continue to cover and transmit the summit's proceedings to a number of television and satellite stations in Arab countries."
He added, "The special press delegation assigned by the Arab League, which includes journalists from various Arab countries, arrived in the capital, Baghdad, a few days ago and has begun covering the preparatory meetings."
Regarding the readiness of the press center designated for covering the Arab Summit meetings, Majeed confirmed that "the press center is fully ready and fully operational. The Prime Minister recently visited the press center building at the Heart of the World Hotel, where he reviewed the facilities. He also stressed the importance of providing journalists with all the technical, artistic, and administrative requirements they need throughout the Arab Summit."
He explained that “there are special halls for live press coverage, equipped with all modern sound and lighting equipment and the official logo of the summit.” He noted that "the proceedings of the Arab Summit meetings will be broadcast live from within the press center at the hotel."
