Minister of Communications Meets Global Tech Leaders to Advance AI Ecosystem

   Riyadh, May 14, 2025, SPA -- Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Alswaha held a series of meetings with executives of leading global technology companies to bolster Saudi Arabia’s artificial-intelligence (AI) ecosystem and solidify the Kingdom’s position as a global hub for AI.
   In his first meeting, the minister met with Qualcomm chief executive Cristiano Amon to discuss the company’s ongoing efforts and its partnership with Humane, focusing on establishing a semiconductor design center, developing hybrid data centers, and nurturing digital talent to lead in smart computing technologies.
   In a separate meeting, the minister and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) chief executive Dr. Lisa Su discussed the company’s plans in the Kingdom under its partnership with Humane, aimed at accelerating the deployment of high-performance computing, supporting generative AI models, and empowering global developers through a Saudi-based platform.
   The meetings come as part of the Kingdom’s broader strategy to develop advanced digital infrastructure, attract high-impact technology investments, and localize high-value knowledge industries. They also support the empowerment of innovative firms like Humane to deliver AI solutions and applications both locally and globally, opening new avenues in the digital economy.
