Iraq, Qatar Discuss Prospects For Constructive Cooperation Between The Two Countries And Unifying Discourse In Int’l Forums

Baghdad/NINA/- Parliament Speaker Mahmoud al-Mashhadani discussed with Hassan bin Abdullah al-Ghanim, Speaker of the Qatari Shura Council, prospects for constructive cooperation between the two countries and unifying discourse in international forums.

The Parliament stated in a statement: "Al-Mashhadani concluded his visit to Qatar on Wednesday, meeting with Hassan bin Abdullah al-Ghanim, Speaker of the Qatari Shura Council, accompanied by MP Ziyad al-Janabi, Chairman of the Parliamentary Integrity Committee.

During the meeting, according to the statement, the results of al-Mashhadani's visit and prospects for constructive cooperation between the two countries and unifying discourse in international forums were discussed to serve our Arab and Islamic nations and their just causes, foremost among which is the Palestinian cause.

Parliament Speaker Mahmoud al-Mashhadani praised the role of the Qatari Shura Council, the wisdom of its Speaker in serving the country, and its legislative support for the renaissance witnessed by Qatar, thanking them for the generous hospitality and warm welcome."
