PM Discusses With The British Ambassador Strengthening Economic Partnership And Bilateral Agreements And Understandings

Baghdad / NINA /-Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani discussed with the British Ambassador to Iraq, Irfan Siddiq, strengthening the economic partnership and bilateral agreements and understandings between the two countries.

A statement from the Prime Minister's Office stated: "Al-Sudani received the British Ambassador to Iraq, Irfan Siddiq, on Monday. During the meeting, they reviewed ways of joint cooperation and efforts to strengthen the economic partnership, in light of bilateral agreements and understandings between the two countries."

According to the statement, Al-Sudani pointed to the openness Iraq is witnessing in the fields of development and infrastructure reconstruction, the expansion of the state's capacity to provide services, and the possibility of cooperation between the private and public sectors with British companies in various investment activities.

For his part, Ambassador Irfan Siddiq affirmed his country's government's desire to strengthen cooperation and partnership relations with Iraq, in addition to working together to promote stability in the region. /End
