Hillah/NINA/-The local government in Babylon announced today, Tuesday, receiving the European Union Ambassador to Iraq, Thomas Seiler, where prospects for supporting European companies' investment in Babylon Governorate across various sectors were discussed. Babylon Governor Adnan Al-Faihan said, "During the meeting, we reviewed the most prominent investment opportunities available in the province, based on Babylon's strategic assets that qualify it to be at the forefront of Iraqi provinces in the industrial and agricultural fields, especially as it is the food basket of the Middle Euphrates, and has appropriate infrastructure and a fertile environment for investment."
He added, "We also provided the ambassador with a detailed explanation of the province's distinguished geographical location, its natural resources, and the abundance of arable land, in addition to the presence of government and private factories that are ready for development. We affirmed our sincere desire to attract investments to advance the economic and urban reality and transform Babylon into a competitive center capable of keeping pace with developed countries, since some of these countries do not possess the capabilities and advantages that Babylon possesses."
