Prime Minister: Iraq Strongly Rejects Any Violation Of Its Airspace

Baghdad/NINA/-Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani affirmed Iraq's strong rejection of any violation of its airspace. He stressed that Iraq has been and continues to exercise maximum restraint and avoid conflicts in the region, prioritizing the interests of the Iraqi people.

During his meeting with the European Union Ambassador to Iraq, Thomas Seiler, al-Sudani stated that “the recent Zionist aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran represents a direct threat to security and stability in Iraq and the region.”

He added that “the aggression is intended to obstruct all diplomatic efforts made in flagrant violation of international legal rules and norms.”

The Prime Minister explained that “the source of the tension is the ongoing war of genocide facing the Palestinian people.”/ End
