Kaesong Municipality of DPRK Releases Lots of Fry
Pyongyang, July 15 (KCNA) -- Kaesong Municipality in the DPRK is strengthening the material and technical foundations of fish farming.
The municipality is directing efforts to solving the feed problem of herbivorous fish while increasing the production of protein feed by breeding mud snails in conformity with the scientific and technological demand.
Fish-breeding units in the municipality are increasing the hatching rate by using advanced artificial insemination methods.
The Kaesong Municipal Breed-fish Station has secured feed rich in protein content and produced and supplied puffed feed while growing breed-fish by introducing advanced fish farming technology.
The station lowered the feed cost with three-dimensional fish farming method while providing favorable conditions for the growth of fry. This year it released millions of young fish and fry including carp, crucian carp and other fish into rivers and lakes.
The Kaesong Towel Factory and the Kaesong Municipal Construction Brigade are making a scientific calculation of the size and water temperature of fish breeding grounds and made a proper selection of fish species to increase the productivity. -0-
