Measures to Cope with Disastrous Abnormal Weather in Metallurgical Industry of DPRK

 Pyongyang, July 15 (KCNA) -- The metallurgical industry sector of the DPRK is taking measures to cope with the disastrous abnormal weather.
The Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex secured raw materials and fuel for the regular production and kept them in a responsible manner. At the same time, it made preparations to prevent the separate towers of oxygen separators, generating equipment and transmission and transformation equipment from damage by strong wind and lightning.
The Chollima Steel Complex completed the repair and maintenance of pumps urgent for preventing flooding and replaced and repaired electric-light poles, earth wires and lightening arresters. And it has taken measures for protecting production buildings and outdoor equipment in double and triple ways.
The Musan Mining Complex has realigned and managed the mining steps and dressing plants in a responsible manner to prevent concentrated iron ores from being washed away due to heavy rain and flood.
The Jaeryong and Unryul mines have created acacia, bamboo willow and Evodia Daniellii Benn tree forests to prevent damage caused by flooding, and the Jangsan and Hungsan mines inspected and repaired the drainage facilities and provided the spare parts for regular production. -0-
