GCA President, Azerbaijani Counterpart Discuss Cooperation

Baku, July 21, 2025, SPA -- President of Saudi Arabia's General Court of Audit (GCA) Dr. Hussam Alangari, and President of Azerbaijan's Chamber of Accounts Vugar Gulmammadov, signed today a letter of engagement. This agreement solidifies the GCA's commitment to conducting peer review audits, advancing financial practices, and strengthening international partnerships through Saudi Arabia's expertise.
This review forms part of a series of mutual audits conducted by GCA with peer institutions to exchange professional expertise among supreme audit and public accounting bodies, promote transparency and accountability in the public sector, and ensure the effectiveness and adaptability of these institutions in line with international best practices.
A specialized Saudi team will conduct the peer review following guidelines (GUID 1900) and the signed memorandum of understanding. Earlier, Dr. Alangari, accompanied by Saudi Ambassador to Azerbaijan Essam Algetale, met with the Chamber of Accounts' leadership in Baku to discuss mutual cooperation opportunities.
This engagement underscores the commitment of GCA to strengthening bilateral relations with friendly nations, fostering effective coordination and collaboration in accounting and auditing at both service and financial levels.
