Trade Union Officials and Members Start Study Tour of Revolutionary Battle Sites in Area of Mt Paektu
Pyongyang, July 30 (KCNA) -- Trade union officials and members from across the DPRK started a study tour of the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu.
They held a kick-off meeting of the study tour at the plaza before the statues of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il in Hyesan City on July 29.
The participants laid a flower basket and bouquets before the statues of the great leaders and paid tribute to them.
At the meeting speakers said that the study tour would serve as an occasion of redoubling the faith and will of the workers and trade union members to fulfill their responsibility and duty as the eldest son of the country in the vanguard of the first-stage pioneering struggle, the struggle of change for the overall development of socialism.
They called on all the members of the study tour group to grasp the boundless loyalty to the leader, indomitable revolutionary spirit, fighting traits of self-reliance and fortitude and revolutionary optimism displayed by the first generation of the revolution through the study tour.
At the end of the meeting, the members of the study tour group visited the Monument to the Victorious Battle of Pochonbo. -0-
