Marine Sports Activities in DPRK
Pyongyang, July 31 (KCNA) -- Schools across the DPRK are conducting brisk marine sports activities.
Pyongyang Municipality repaired the indoor and outdoor swimming pools of schools in a qualitative way and organized swimming training in a substantial way in conformity with the students' psychology, thus making them to take an active part in marine sports activities.
Pyongyang Primary School No. 4, Tonghung Senior Middle School in Central District and Namsin Senior Middle School in Songyo District set the correct goals according to school years and are directing efforts to ensuring that students learn the basic movements of swimming.
Mirae Primary School in Phyongchon District affiliated to Kim Hyong Jik University of Education and Janggyong Primary School in Sosong District make the students correctly grasp and acquire the swimming skills and movements through various forms of boards introducing common sense.
Schools in North and South Hwanghae provinces are making the students realize the fact that only when they learn swimming and like it, can they develop their whole bodies harmoniously and cultivate strong physical strength and bravery.
Hyangsan Primary School in Hyangsan County of Jagang Province is directing efforts to the education and training for students to acquire basic and standard movements, and Kaesong Secondary School No. 1 is making students learn how to use apparatuses in water and rescue persons from drowning.
Raha Technical Senior Middle School in Pukchong County of South Hamgyong Province and Jungdok Primary School in Phyongsong City affiliated to Phyongsong Teachers Training College are conducting effective marine sports activities in conformity with their actual conditions. -0-
