Vice president for scientific affairs tours IRNA

Tehran, IRNA – Vice President for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy Hossein Afshin has visited the headquarters of the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) in the capital, Tehran.

Afshin visited IRNA on Tuesday to mark National Reporter’s Day that falls on August 8.

Visiting various desks of the official news agency of the Islamic Republic, the vice president exchanged views with the journalists and photojournalists on the latest issues.

He also held talks with Hossein Jaberi Ansari, the CEO of the Islamic Republic News Agency.

National Reporter’s Day commemorates the martyrdom anniversary of IRNA correspondent Mahmoud Saremi, who was killed on August 8, 1998, along with eight members of the Iranian Consulate General in Afghanistan.
