PM Receives Lebanese Minister of Labor, Reaffirms Iraq's Support for Lebanon's Stability

Baghdad / NINA /- Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani received today, Tuesday, the Lebanese Minister of Labor, Mohammad Bahjat Haidar, to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral relations between Baghdad and Beirut, as well as the latest developments in Lebanon and the broader region.
According to a statement from the Prime Minister's media office, the meeting covered several topics of mutual interest, including cooperation in the fields of economy, telecommunications, and investment, facilitating private sector engagement in both countries, activating the Iraqi-Lebanese Business Council, and regulating labor mobility between the two nations.
During the meeting, Al-Sudani reaffirmed Iraq's firm stance in support of Lebanon’s unity and sovereignty, emphasizing Baghdad’s solidarity with the Lebanese people as they face ongoing challenges. He reiterated Iraq’s principled position in rejecting aggression and supporting Lebanon’s stability.
For his part, Minister Haidar conveyed greetings from the Lebanese Prime Minister to Al-Sudani and affirmed his government’s continued commitment to strengthening constructive partnership with Iraq and expanding economic cooperation in the interest of both brotherly nations./ End
