Two Holy Mosques Receive over 60 Million Visitors in Muharram 1447 AH

Makkah, August 8, 2025, SPA -- The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques has announced that the total number of visitors to the two holy mosques during Muharram 1447 AH reached 60,245,635, welcomed with a comprehensive and diverse system of services provided by the authority and participating entities.
   The authority's report detailed that the number of worshippers at the Grand Mosque of Makkah reached 27,531,599, with 47,823 worshippers performing prayers at the Hijr Ismail. The number of Umrah performers reached 7,857,270.
   At the Prophet's Mosque, the total number of worshippers was 21,576,200, of which 1,122,368 worshippers performed prayers at Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifah and 2,110,375 visitors greeted the Prophet (peace be upon him) and his two companions.
   The authority affirmed that it is committed to providing the best services with the highest quality standards to ensure comfort and ease for all worshippers, pilgrims, and visitors so they can perform their rituals with tranquility, in line with the directives of the wise leadership to serve the two holy mosques.
