Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex Strengthens Its Existing Production Foundation

 Pyongyang, August 10 (KCNA) -- The Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex is directing efforts to strengthening its production foundation by dint of science and technology.
The complex has recently introduced dozens of valuable inventions and new technical innovation proposals into production.
The blast furnace workshop No. 1 solved the sci-tech problem for controlling the temperature of waste gas of the energy-saving oxygen heat blast furnace with cooling water.
The blast furnace workshop No. 2 also made use of a rational method of charging and built a new ore drying furnace capable of reducing the moisture content of iron ore, thus increasing the extraction rate and providing a guarantee for saving a lot of fuel.
The oxygen separator branch factory has raised the technical control level of equipment to increase the oxygen output per hour and purity than before.
The technical group of the complex has established a new production line capable of improving the quality of rolled steel and calcined lime. -0-
