Duma may raise demands to net wealth of bookmaker`s offices

MOSCOW, July 14 (Itar-Tass) - The bill setting additional requirements
to the order of opening and functioning of bookmaker's offices and
totalisators was submitted to the State Duma lower house of Russia's
parliament on Monday. The additional requirements are linked first of all
with the offices' financial stability, accountability and transparency.
In particular, it is proposed to step up demands to the net wealth of
the organiser of gambling who is engaged in the corresponding activities
at bookmaker's offices and totalisators, from 100 million roubles to 600
million roubles.
The authors of the initiative are head of the Duma committee on
constitutional legislation and state building Vladimir Pligin, chairman of
the economic policy and entrepreneurship committee Yevgeny Fyodorov and
head of the committee on the financial market Vladislav Reznik.
