MOSCOW, July 14 (Itar-Tass) - Russia's State Duma plans to ratify a
treaty on establishing the anti-crisis fund of the Eurasian Economic
Community (EurAsEC) on July 15, speaker Boris Gryzlov told reporters on
Tuesday.
"This agreement will allow not only consolidate EurAsEC member-states,
but will also give an opportunity to overcome the impacts of the crisis in
the society," he said.
On July 13, President Dmitry Medvedev submitted a treaty on
establishing the EurAsEC anti-crisis fund and an agreement on management
of the anti-crisis fund's finances to the State Duma for ratification.
EurAsEC member-states and Armenia signed a treaty on establishing the
anti-crisis fund in Moscow on June 9.
The charter capital of the yet-to-be fund will total 10 billion U.S.
dollars, of them 7.5 billion U.S. dollars is Russia's share. The fund's
finances will be used to extend sovereign and stabilization loans to
member-states as well as to finance interstate investment projects.
