Al-Araji and Khatibzadeh Stress the Importance of Dialogue and Diplomacy to Resolve All Outstanding Problems in the Region and the World

Baghdad /NINA/- National Security Advisor Qasim al-Araji and Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Saeed Khatibzadeh stressed on Wednesday that dialogue and diplomacy are the optimal path to resolving outstanding issues in the region and the world.
The office of the National Security Advisor said in a statement that al-Araji received Khatibzadeh and his accompanying delegation in Baghdad, where the two sides discussed bilateral relations between Iraq and Iran and ways to enhance them across various fields.
The statement added that the talks covered the latest regional developments, efforts to consolidate stability and avoid conflicts, as well as several issues of common interest. Both sides affirmed that dialogue and diplomacy are the cornerstone for addressing crises.
According to the statement, al-Araji praised the political approach adopted by Tehran, noting that it strengthens opportunities for dialogue and paves the way for diplomatic solutions to regional challenges.
For his part, Khatibzadeh reaffirmed Iran’s support for the Iraqi government’s efforts to consolidate security and stability, achieve economic development, and move toward growth.
The statement also noted that both sides agreed in condemning the ongoing killings, starvation, and acts of genocide in Gaza, stressing that such practices constitute a violation of international law and require a firm and serious stance from the international community./ End
