Imam Turki bin Abdullah Royal Reserve Opens Pavilion at Katara Hunting, Falcons Exhibition

Doha, September 11, 2025, SPA -- The Imam Turki bin Abdullah Royal Nature Reserve Development Authority inaugurated its pavilion at the ninth Katara International Hunting and Falcons Exhibition – S’hail 2025, which officially began on Wednesday in Doha. The event features wide participation from entities concerned with hunting, falconry, and authentic heritage.
The pavilion highlights the North Reserve for Sustainable Hunting, the first such reserve in Saudi Arabia, introducing visitors to a variety of accommodation options offered within the reserve. The reserve includes camps accommodating 12 and 31 guests, along with luxury eco-lodges designed for nine guests offered for the first time this season. These offerings reflect the North Reserve’s commitment to delivering a comprehensive tourism experience that blends tradition, comfort, and sustainability.
The pavilion also educates visitors on the types of game available in the North Reserve, such as houbara, Arabian oryx, and gazelles. It presents the regulated hunting methods permitted within the reserve: hunting houbara with falcons, gazelles using Saluki dogs or firearms, and Arabian oryx exclusively with firearms. These practices are implemented within a controlled framework that ensures a balance between wildlife conservation and the enjoyment of sustainable hunting.
