200 businesses to take part in national rice festival
Hau Giang (VNA) – Two hundred domestic and foreign businesses have registered to take part in the first ever national rice festival slated for Nov. 26-28 in the Mekong delta province of Hau Giang.
The festival will be co-organised by the Vietnam Food Association in association
with the Vietnam Southern Food Corporation, government agencies and the Mekong
delta provinces.
The three-day event, which expects to receive more than 3,000 visitors, will
include rice symposiums and fairs, folk games and traditional music and art
performances.
At the festival, a rice pot and nine pans of rice pancake filled with shrimp, meat
and vegetables will be registered for Vietnam ’s records.-Enditem
