Red Sea International Film Festival Raises Curtain on ‘New Saudi Cinema’ Short Film Program

Jeddah, October 10, 2025, SAP -- The Red Sea International Film Festival (RSIFF) revealed the first highlights of its highly anticipated fifth edition, announcing the “New Saudi Cinema” short film program. The initiative will include a diverse array of short films from Saudi filmmakers showcased as part of the festival’s program, alongside a diverse lineup of regional and international screenings.
The program will highlight the vibrancy of the Kingdom’s fast-evolving film scene, with a selection of 21 of the best new films from Saudi Arabia spanning fiction, documentary, and animation. The program received more than 200 submissions, underscoring the growing interest in filmmaking across the Kingdom.
