HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister receives the newly appointed Ambassador of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka to the Kingdom of Bahrain

Manama, Dec. 14 (BNA):  His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today received Her Excellency Shereen Shanika Dissanayake, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka to the Kingdom of Bahrain, at Gudaibiya Palace. 

His Royal Highness highlighted the strength of the bilateral relations between Bahrain and Sri Lanka, noting the growth of ties between both nations.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister outlined the importance of continuing to develop bilateral cooperation and coordination to achieve common goals and aspirations.

The meeting also included a review of current regional and international developments and issues of common interest.

For her part, HE Dissanayake expressed her gratitude for the meeting with His Royal Highness.  The newly appointed Ambassador also conveyed her appreciation to HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for his commitment to furthering Bahrain-Sri Lanka relations.  Her Excellency concluded by wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain further progress and prosperity.

HE Hamad bin Faisal Al Malki, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, also attended the meeting.
