Russian, Chinese mil officials satisfied with joint training results
TAONAN TRAINING BASE, China, July 18 (Itar-Tass) -- The first joint
training of Russian and Chinese armed forces in the antiterrorist
exercises Peace Mission 2009 took place in the Taonan training area near
Baicheng in the northeast of China on Saturday.
The commanders of the exercises -- Deputy Commander in Chief of the
Ground Troops Alexander Studenikin and Deputy Chief of the General Staff
Ma Xiaotian -- highly appraised the results.
"Today we held the first joint training with the Chinese colleagues
and felt the comradeship. The issues we could not settle in the talks are
being settled successfully and promptly now in the course of the practical
work, general Studenikin said. "On the whole, I am pleased with the
training results," he added.
The Russian general highly praised the level of preparedness of the
Chinese troops. According to him, the level is rather high. They seriously
prepare to carry out any task, and there is what to learn from the Chinese
colleagues, he noted.
Studenikin also noted that Chinese servicemen willingly adopted the
Russian combat experience. "They work with us with pleasure and learn from
us," he said.
All joint events with Chinese colleagues, including exercises
and training, are held in the spirit of friendship and mutual
understanding, and all have satisfaction from the work, the general
concluded.
The Chinese general also gave a high appraisal to the first joint
training of Russian and Chinese troops. He noted he was deeply impressed
with the professional qualities and the level of cooperation between the
air force and ground troops. "I am satisfied with the results of our first
training," he said.
