Big Role of Sinuiju Textile Mill in Development of Light Industry

 Pyongyang, June 29 (KCNA) -- The fighting spirit of the workers of the Sinuiju Textile Mill in the northwestern part of the DPRK is growing stronger. The factory plays a big role in the development of light industry.
The factory has produced more than 10 workers who fulfilled their national economic plans for the full year this year. It has developed new suit fabric, printed fabric, waterproof fabric, Lyocell shirting fabric and antibiosis shoe fabric and expanded and introduced the successes.
The factory also carries the traces of devotion of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who is devoting all his efforts to the development of light industry of the country.
On June 30, 2018, the respected Comrade General Secretary Kim Jong Un visited the mill and said that radically developing the textile industry is of great significance in making a breakthrough in improving the people's living standards, indicating the tasks and ways for modernizing the mill as required by the present era.
That day, the respected Comrade General Secretary said that he would build a good hostel at the factory, personally chose the site of the hostel and took measures to mobilize powerful construction forces.
The factory has stepped up the reconstruction and modernization project by relying on its own efforts and technical forces for remodeling shuttle looms into air looms to improve the productivity four times and install dozens of spinning equipment and dyeing equipment.
