Youths in S. Hamgyong Province Volunteer for Service at Major Worksites

 Pyongyang, July 1 (KCNA) -- Young people in South Hamgyong Province of the DPRK have volunteered for major worksites of socialist construction.
Those in Riwon and Ragwon counties petitioned their youth league organizations to dispatch them to an offshore farm and a fishery station, and youth league members in Tanchon City and Jangjin County volunteered to work at regional and rural construction sites. And youths in Toksong and Pukchong counties vowed to work at workteams for maintaining roads over mountains.
A meeting for congratulating the volunteers was held at the Hamhung Youth Open-Air Theatre on June 29.
Present there were officials concerned, youth league officials and young people. Petition certificates were awarded to the volunteers and a congratulatory speech and oath-taking speeches were made.
At the end of the meeting, a congratulatory performance was given. Then the volunteers left for their new posts amid the warm send-off by officials, youth and students. -0-
