Efforts Made to Strengthen Crisis Control Capability

 Pyongyang, July 3 (KCNA) -- Kaesong Municipality of the DPRK directs primary efforts to strengthening the crisis control capability.
Its agricultural sector has intensified the monitoring of reservoirs and flood gates while taking thorough drainage measures to protect crops and farmland from flood damage.
The sectors of land and environment protection and urban management have carried out in a responsible manner the work to repair public buildings, houses and bridges, increase the passing capacity of networks of rain-water and sewerage and dredge rivers and reinforce the retaining walls along them.
The electric power sector has frequently checked the condition of lightening arresters at substations and completed the overhaul of equipment and power distribution lines.
Jangphung County has paid efforts to ensuring the safety of roads while going on the work to install safety protection walls, repair the retaining walls and readjust ditches as planned. -0-
