Farms in DPRK Focus on Weeding

 Pyongyang, July 5 (KCNA) -- All farms in the DPRK are busy stepping up the second round of weeding on paddy fields and the third round of weeding on maize fields.
North Hwanghae Province has concentrated the workforce and means on fulfilling the daily plans for weeding by introducing rational and advanced methods.
South Hamgyong Province is applying the weed killer to paddy fields according to the technical regulations.
In North Phyongan Province, farms have raised effectiveness of weeding through introduction of the paddy-field fish breeding and mud-snail farming method suited to its specific conditions.
In North Hamgyong Province, they have given priority to farm fields in remote corners.
Farms in Jagang and Kangwon provinces, too, are achieving similar successes while taking good care of the crops. -0-
