Technical Innovation Contests Held in Provinces of DPRK
Pyongyang, July 6 (KCNA) -- Provincial technical innovation contests are being conducted by the April 15 technological innovation shock brigades in all provinces to expand the space for economic development and redouble the motive force of development, according to Rodong Sinmun.
The provincial technical innovation contest for increasing the proportion of the farm work done by machines is being conducted among the April 15 technological innovation shock brigades in South Hwanghae Province and the similar contest for reducing the loss of electricity in transmission, ensuring the stability of electricity supply and making the effective use of electricity among them in North Hamgyong Province.
Technical innovation contests have been held among the April 15 technical innovation shock brigades in the sector of power station in Kangwon Province, including the Anbyon Youth Power Station and the Wonsan Army-People Power Station, bringing about a substantial improvement in raising the efficiency of power generation and increasing and economizing electricity.
In Pyongyang, a technical innovation contest is being held among the shock brigades in the field of foodstuff factories to increase the variety of foodstuffs favoured by the people and improve their quality.
In addition, the contests are being staged by the shock brigades in the field of dairy processing in South Hamgyong Province and by those in the field of condiments in Nampho Municipality.
The provincial technical innovation contests of the shock brigades serve as an important occasion in mobilizing and using their own scientific and technological forces effectively and strengthening them both in quality and quantity. -0-
