Progress Made in Mining Industry Sector

 Pyongyang, July 6 (KCNA) -- The mining industry sector of the DPRK strives to build up its foundation for increased production through a mass technical innovation movement.
The Munphyong Smeltery solved technical problems arising in shortening the melting time to over-fulfill its plan for producing crude lead by electric furnace.
The Manpho Smeltery has carried out its daily plans by directing efforts into putting the process management on a scientific basis, while pushing ahead with the work for realizing the domestic production of equipment and materials and laying a long-term foundation for development.
The Hyesan Youth Mine stepped up the construction of deep pits and upgraded the capacity of the air power loader, thus increasing the mineral output and the extraction rate of ore dressing.
The Riwon Mine and the Inphyong Youth Mine are increasing the mineral production while introducing sci-tech achievements conducive to improving the smoothness of transport system and work efficiency. -0-
