GCC Interconnection Authority Participates in 67th Advisory Meeting

Dammam, July 11, 2026, SPA -- The GCC Interconnection Authority participated in the 67th meeting of the GCC Advisory and Regulatory Committee in Kuwait, attended by GCC Interconnection Authority CEO Eng. Ahmed Al-Ebrahim, alongside representatives from GCC member states and the GCC secretariat's energy department.
The committee reviewed the authority's performance report and evaluated the crucial support the interconnection system provides to member states' power grids, which directly enhances the reliability and stability of the Gulf network. Discussions also covered key operational events, service continuity measures, and progress updates on ongoing grid expansion projects.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the committee emphasized the vital importance of expanding the Gulf electrical interconnection system and boosting its operational readiness to secure long-term energy stability across all GCC countries.
