Heavy autumn rains in Fars Province, southern Iran, have revived the long-dry Maharlou Lake, drawing flocks of flamingos back to the 600-square-kilometer natural landmark 20 kilometers southeast of Shiraz and raising hopes for a resurgence in tourism.
