Saudi Camel Sports Enhances Taif Venue for 2026 Crown Prince Camel Festival

Taif, July 27, 2026, SPA -- Saudi Camel Sports has completed a package of development projects at Taif Camel Square as part of preparations to host the 2026 Crown Prince Camel Festival, aimed at upgrading infrastructure and enhancing the venue's readiness to serve owners, camel race trainers, and participants.
The work included constructing an 11-kilometer training track surrounding the 10-kilometer track and connecting it to the 6-kilometer track in the southern field, in addition to linking stables between both fields to improve movement and operational efficiency.
The projects also included rehabilitating race tracks by supplying and laying more than 38,000 cubic meters of soil across the 10-, 6-, 5-, and 2-kilometer tracks, as well as the southern field's 6-kilometer track. The federation also built five new starting gates for the southern field's 6-kilometer track to increase participant capacity and enhance safety standards.
Development work continues, including paving the eastern field's main entrance and further upgrading the 6-kilometer track, as part of a comprehensive plan to elevate Taif Camel Square's facilities in line with the Crown Prince Camel Festival's status as one of the largest camel racing events locally and internationally.
