Saudi Junior Handball Team Wins Bronze at Asian Men's Junior Championship

Dammam, July 27, 2026, SPA -- The Saudi junior handball team won the bronze medal at the 19th Asian Men's Junior Handball Championship today after defeating Bahrain 37–27 in the third-place playoff, as the tournament concluded in China.
Saudi Arabia asserted its dominance throughout the match, finishing with a 10-goal victory to claim the bronze medal and mark its return to the Asian podium after a 10-year absence.
The achievement reflects the steady progress of the Saudi junior team, which delivered strong performances throughout the tournament, securing qualification for the 2027 IHF Men's Junior World Championship and underscoring the continued development of Saudi handball.
The bronze medal marked Saudi Arabia's return to the Asian Championship podium, following its silver-medal finish at the 2016 edition.
