Two Holy Mosques Authority Launches First Aid Volunteering Framework for National Associations

Makkah, January 04, 2026, SPA -- The General Authority for the Care of the Two Holy Mosques has launched the first aid volunteering framework for national associations, in partnership with the Saudi Red Crescent Authority (SRCA).
The initiative aims to promote a culture of volunteerism and enhance the efficiency of emergency response within the Two Holy Mosques, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
The framework is designed to organize first aid volunteer work within an integrated system, ensuring unified procedures and coordinated efforts among volunteer organizations. It seeks to achieve the highest standards of quality and safety in serving pilgrims.
The authority clarified that participating organizations must meet general requirements, including being officially accredited and registered with the relevant authorities.
Volunteer teams must include licensed healthcare practitioners or certified specialists, such as personnel trained in Basic Life Support (BLS). They must also fully comply with instructions issued by both the SRCA and the General Authority for the Care of the Two Holy Mosques.
The authority invited interested volunteer associations to submit official applications, including team details, specializations, fields of work, and member names, via Volunteer@gph.gov.sa.
The authority emphasized that the framework reflects its commitment to improving services within the Two Holy Mosques, strengthening partnerships with national entities, and enhancing the experience of pilgrims while maintaining the highest levels of safety and care.
