Efforts Made to Consolidate Material and Technical Foundations for Education Sector

 Pyongyang, August 13 (KCNA) -- Jagang Province and Nampho Municipality of the DPRK strive to consolidate their material and technical foundations for education and make innovative achievements in education.
There took place an exhibition of educational experimental apparatus, teaching aids and educational aid programs and an exhibition of donated educational equipment at the Jagang provincial sci-tech library. On display there were thousands of pieces of experimental apparatuses and teaching aids prepared by general and higher education institutions in the province and educational equipment donated by support organizations.
In the city of Manpho there was a provincial demonstration for implementing the second universal 12-year compulsory education program. The participants exchanged the successes and experience gained in setting up laboratories at the technical senior middle schools and senior middle schools in the city and supplying experimental apparatuses and practical equipment to them in accordance with the newly-introduced system of voluntarily selecting subjects.
Educational institutions and sponsors in Nampho Municipality, too, took an active part in the exhibition of experimental apparatuses, teaching aids and donated educational equipment.
 Nampho University of Marine Transport and educational institutions in the district of Chollima exhibited various pieces of experimental apparatuses, teaching aids and educational aid programs.
The municipal public prosecutors office, the Kumsong Tractor Factory and many other units rendered computers and LED TVs, and the districts of Taean and Kangso donated teaching aids and furnishings to schools. -0-
