Makkah, August 13, 2026, SPA -- On the fifth day of the finals at the 46th King Abdulaziz International Competition for Memorizing, Reciting, and Interpreting the Holy Quran, organized by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, the judging committees for the boys’ and girls’ categories continued listening to the recitations of 40 contestants representing several countries in two sessions.
Since the start of the final qualifying rounds, the judging committees have heard 188 male and female contestants representing more than 120 countries across different continents.
The committees comprise a select group of international judges specializing in Quranic sciences, readings, and the rules of Quranic recitation.
The contestants’ performances are evaluated using the ministry’s advanced electronic judging system, which enhances the accuracy of score recording, ensures fairness and transparency in the assessment, and helps expedite the announcement of results.
