King Abdulaziz Quran Competition Participants Arrive in Madinah

Madinah, August 16, 2026, SPA -- A number of participants in the 46th King Abdulaziz International Competition for Memorizing, Reciting, and Interpreting the Holy Quran expressed their happiness at arriving in Madinah after the conclusion of the competition's final qualifying stage, held in Makkah with the participation of 334 contestants representing 133 countries.
Contestant Sarah Sayani from Portugal expressed her gratitude to the wise leadership for its support for people devoted to the Holy Quran, noting that the journey was not merely participation in a competition, but represented a comprehensive spiritual experience that would remain in her memory for a long time. She praised the care she received, which enabled her to perform her visit with ease and peace of mind.
Contestant Aman Batel from Réunion highlighted the spiritual atmosphere he experienced in Makkah and Madinah, expressing his gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the great attention given to the contestants participating in the competition.
Contestant Musa Ashraf from the Maldives said that his participation in the competition was one of the greatest experiences of his life, as it gave him a valuable opportunity to review the Holy Quran in a distinctive competitive atmosphere. He expressed his gratitude to the organizers for the excellent arrangements and care provided to participants from their arrival in Makkah through their transfer to Madinah.
