MWL Offers Condolences to Indonesia for Earthquake Victims

Makkah, August 17, 2026, SPA -- The Muslim World League (MWL) extended its deepest condolences to the Republic of Indonesia, its government and people, as well as to the families of those killed or injured, following the earthquakes that struck several regions of the country.
In a statement issued by its General Secretariat, MWL Secretary-General and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa expressed the league’s solidarity with the families of the victims and the Indonesian people during this painful tragedy.
He affirmed the MWL’s readiness to utilize all available resources to help alleviate the impact of the disaster. He prayed to Allah Almighty to have mercy on the deceased and grant the injured a speedy recovery.
