Foreign Ministry: Saudi Arabia Condemns Attack on Iraqi Kurdistan Region Prime Minister's Office

Riyadh, August 18, 2026, SPA -- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's strongest condemnation of the attacks on the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, which targeted the office of Prime Minister Masrour Barzani, in a blatant violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Iraq.
In a statement, the ministry affirmed the Kingdom's rejection of all hostile actions targeting public and political figures, as well as any acts that threaten the security of Iraqi state institutions or undermine the country's security and stability.
It reiterated Saudi Arabia's firm opposition to all forms of interference in states' internal affairs, violations of their sovereignty, and breaches of the principles of good-neighborliness and international law.
