Islamic Affairs Ministry Reviews Competitors' Journey Challenges at King Abdulaziz International Quran Competition

Riyadh, August 19, 2026, SPA -- The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance yesterday organized a workshop titled "Studying Competitors' Journey Challenges and Innovating Solutions" as part of the 46th edition of the King Abdulaziz International Competition for Memorizing, Reciting, and Interpreting the Holy Quran, with the participation of contestants from various countries around the world.
The workshop addressed the various stages of the contestants' journey, from their nomination for the competition and arrival in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through reception, transportation, accommodation, and preparations for participation, as well as the preliminary and final rounds. It also covered the accompanying cultural and faith-related programs prepared for participants during their stay in Saudi Arabia, culminating in the closing ceremony and their safe return to their home countries.
During the workshop, the contestants shared their views and impressions of their experience in the competition, highlighting opportunities for improvement at various stages, as well as the organizational efforts and services provided. They also shared suggestions and ideas to enhance the overall experience and improve the quality of services provided to contestants in future editions.
