Over 40 Date Varieties Featured at Al-Khabra and Riyadh Al-Khabra Festival

Riyadh Al-Khabra, August 19, 2026, SPA -- Al-Khabra and Riyadh Al-Khabra Dates Festival is seeing robust commercial activity in Qassim Region, coinciding with the ongoing harvest season.
The festival features more than 40 date varieties, with the Sukkari variety accounting for 70% of sales during the initial two weeks.
Festival media committee member Fahd Al-Thunayan noted that dozens more premium varieties from local farms are expected to arrive in the coming days, highlighting the region's agricultural diversity.
Running for a month and a half, the event serves as a key platform for farmers, investors, and small and medium-sized enterprises. The venue includes dedicated sections for fruits and vegetables, as well as family entertainment.
The festival supports the palm and date value chain by giving farmers direct marketing outlets to reach traders and consumers, boosting the competitiveness of local produce. Multiple government entities are participating with awareness programs and public services, supported by 60 male and female volunteers across festival facilities.
