Al-Qatif Almonds: Diverse Colors, Varieties During Harvest Season

Al-Qatif, August 19, 2026, SPA -- Al-Qatif almonds, grown in a governorate known for the abundance of almond trees widespread in its orchards, homes, and neighborhood streets, are currently being promoted by vendors and farmers in central markets and fruit and vegetable shops.
Farmers said the almond season features a variety of types and colors, most notably red, green, yellow, and purple.
They noted that the region's hot, humid weather contributes to the early ripening of almonds and gives them distinctive quality and taste. They pointed out that several varieties are available in the markets, including Bahraini, Emirati, and Indian almonds, in addition to Al-Qatif almonds, which are popular among shoppers for their distinctive taste.
