KSrelief’s Masam Project Removes 1,836 Landmines in Yemen in One Week

   Aden, August 23, 2026, SPA -- The Masam Project for clearing Yemeni landmines of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) removed 1,836 landmines and other explosive hazards across various parts of Yemen during the third week of August.
   The clearance operation included 13 anti-personnel mines, 25 anti-tank mines, 1,792 unexploded ordnance items, and six explosive devices.
   The number of mines and explosive hazards cleared since the beginning of August has reached 9,280, while the total number removed since the launch of the Masam project has risen to 648,386.
   The project continues to address mines planted indiscriminately across Yemen, posing a threat to the lives of innocent civilians, including children, women, and older people.
   Through KSrelief, Saudi Arabia continues its efforts to clear Yemeni territory of landmines under the Masam Project, helping protect civilians and enable Yemenis to live safe and dignified lives.
