Iranian player awarded at Asian Youth Handball Championship

Tehran, IRNA – Ali Ghayour has been named the best right wing and one of the All-Star Team members at the 2026 Asian Men’s Youth Handball Championship in Jordan.

Ali Ghayour, a member of Iran’s youth handball team, was selected as the top right wing and included among the championship’s best players on August 31, 2026.

Alireza Pakdel, Head of Iran’s Handball Federation and Vice President of the Asian Handball Confederation, attended the closing ceremony and presented the award for the tournament’s best player.

Iran’s youth team finished fourth in the Asian Championship after losing to South Korea.
