Iranian envoy in Mexico receives Global Leader of Change award

Mexico City, IRNA – Iranian Ambassador to Mexico Abolfazl Pasandideh has received the “Global Leader of Change” award in recognition of his diplomatic efforts to strengthen cooperation between the two nations.

Pasandideh received the Líder Global del Cambio award from Change Global Group during a ceremony held on Friday at the Iranian Embassy in Mexico City, attended by members of the diplomatic community and other guests.

Anabel Hernández Gómez, head of the Change Global Group, said the award seeks to recognize individuals whose professional activities contribute to dialogue, peace, understanding and cooperation among nations.

She highlighted Pasandideh’s activities in cultural, educational, sports and media diplomacy, as well as his engagement with Mexican governmental and local institutions. She said his active presence in Mexican society had helped introduce different aspects of Iran and strengthen ties between the two peoples.

Upon receiving the award, Pasandideh described it as “a valuable expression of friendship between the peoples of Iran and Mexico,” saying the two nations share ancient civilizations and common aspirations for humanity’s future.

He stressed the importance of peace and dialogue, saying lasting peace means more than the absence of war and requires respect for human dignity, justice, national sovereignty and dialogue among peoples.

The ambassador also emphasized the international community’s responsibility to build a safer and more humane future for coming generations.
