Abdullah Nada Wins Saudi Arabia's Third Gold at Nagoya Asian Games

Riyadh, October 03, 2026, SPA -- Saudi teams continued their strong performance at the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026, with Saudi jiu-jitsu athlete Abdullah Nada, 19, winning a gold medal, while show jumpers topped the standings on the first day of the individual competition.
Nada won the gold medal in the 85kg jiu-jitsu category on his Asian Games debut, defeating Kazakhstan's Merey Kabdullayev 7-0 in the final.
The win brought Saudi Arabia's tally at the games to 14 medals: three gold, two silver, and nine bronze.
In show jumping, Saudi riders topped the standings in both Group 1 and Group 2 on the first day of the individual competition held today.
Rider Khaled Al-Mobty topped Group 1, contested at a height of 1.45 meters, after completing the round in 74.38 seconds without penalties. His teammate Saad Al-Ajmi finished second in 75.18 seconds, also recording a clear round.
In Group 2, contested at a height of 1.55 meters, rider Abdulrahman Al-Rajhi topped the standings in 72.87 seconds after completing a clear round, while Ramzy Al-Duhami finished third in 73.95 seconds, also without penalties.
The second round of competition will take place tomorrow, Sunday, with Group 1 beginning at 9:30 a.m., followed by Group 2 at 11:30 a.m.
