Somalia Condemns Attack on Electricity Distribution Station in Madinah

   Mogadishu, October 03, 2026, SPA -- The Federal Republic of Somalia strongly condemned the attack on the Taibah electricity distribution station in Madinah.
   In a statement issued today, the Somali Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that targeting infrastructure serving a city that houses one of Islam's holiest sites violates the sanctity of these sacred places. It also constitutes a clear breach of international law and the sovereignty of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
   The ministry expressed Somalia's full solidarity with the Saudi government and its people, affirming support for the Kingdom's efforts to protect its sovereignty, ensure security, and safeguard its citizens, residents, and visitors to the holy sites.
