OIL AND GAS PRODUCTION ON RISE IN AZERBAIJAN
Baku, July 22 (AzerTAc). Oil and gas production in Azerbaijan made up 24. 8 mln tons and 12 bln cubic meters, up by 2.5% and 1.7% respectively in the first quarter of this year, State Statistical Committee reported.
Some 3.6 mln tones of the oil produced were extracted by State Oil Company, SOCAR, while 22.2 mln tones by a consortium of oil companies.
In the gas production, SOCAR`s share made 3.4 bln cubic meters, while the rest 5.6 bln cubic meters were produced by the consortium.
