AZERBAIJAN, CZECH FINANCE MINISTRIES SIGN MEMORANDUM OF COOPERATION

Baku, July 24 (AzerTAc). Finance Ministers Samir Sharifov of Azerbaijan and Eduard Janota of Czechia have signed today a memorandum of cooperation between the two countries` ministries.
Following the signing ceremony, the ministers briefed journalists.
Samir Sharifov said there was a strategic relationship between Azerbaijan and Czechia.
According to him, the two countries have huge potential to expand finance bilateral economic cooperation.
He underlined the Czech Minister`s current visit would contribute to strengthening cooperation between the two countries even more.
Sharifov also noted “today`s memorandum provides an effective legal ground for bilateral cooperation”.
He added the document envisages planning of budget between the two countries` finance ministries, treasury operations, finance control, financing social areas, exchange of experience and other issues.
Eduard Janota said his country intends to join some ongoing projects in Azerbaijan.
He pointed out the Czech Eximbank could finance some projects in Azerbaijan on railway, transport infrastructure and constructing highways.
The ministers also replied to questions of journalists.
